【英文合同翻译要点17】基本用语/表现 - due to，owing to，because of，by reason of, occurs as a result

这些都是表示原因和理由的表达形式。

because of和by reason of表示中性的理由，thanks to（在合同中不常用）与owing to大体上指积极的原因和理由，而due to则多指消极的原因和理由。以下为例句。

termination due to force majeure（由于不可抗力解除（合同））

owing to the increased foreign demand（由于海外需求增加）

No employee shall obtain any personal benefits or favors because of his or her position with the Company.

（员工不得利用自己在本公司的地位获取个人利益或便利。）

The Distributor has no right whatsoever to any compensation for good will or other losses caused by reason of expiration or termination of this Agreement.
